UIU Electrical & Electronic Club comes with another seminar titled " 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬"
Electrification in the capital, Dhaka, began over 100 years ago, yet Bangladesh has still not achieved full electrification (~75%) for its population. The vision of the country is to become a high-income nation by the year 2041.
Governed by this vision, the net electricity demand is forecasted to be 61 GW by 2041.
The power generating sector of Bangladesh largely depends on natural gas since the reserve of natural gas is higher compared to all other fossil fuel-based energy resources.
The government is looking for skilled electrical engineers to help them carry out this master plan. Topics linked to the power and energy business, as well as potential career options, will be presented in this seminar.
This session is strongly recommended for students currently enrolled in Energy Conversion I & II, Power System, Transmission & Distribution, Renewable Energy, and Power System Protection.
